Well I don't see the problem either. The report module is not Google
where sites listed first get more hits.

An extension could add itself anywhere it likes in the TYPO3 backend
anyway (XCLASS), why should we care to try to avoid it? it's up to the
user to decide if the extension is worth it or not.

But I also agree with Xavier that grouping is more important than sorting.
