So thanks for your efforts, in short the correct way of "posting" your 
bugfix would have been:
1. create a bug report on bugs.typo3.org if noone exists about this topic
2. attach your solution as unified diff against current trunk / branch 
(in case of 4.2) to the bug-report
3. come to this list, and file an entry in a special RFC format, and 
attach your patch

afterwords the patch will get tested and voted +1/-1

for specific things you need special amounts of +1 from core and +1 from 
other community members.
