That gave me the hint I needed ;-) The behavior you observed happens 
when one imports an extensions which is already installed and overwrites 
it. I can confirm the problem, but your patch is not correct. You are 
moving the flash message from outside a if block to inside it, which 
corrects the behavior in the mentioned scenario, but removes the flash 
message in other scenarios, e.g. importing an extension which doesn't 
exist on the server yet.

I'll look at this and provide an improved patch, but it may not be 
tonight, as I have some catching-up to do regarding sleep ;-)
