I have no use case for now. It's just that I thought that there are a 
number of processes in TYPO3 where a page redirects to another one (for 
example, when saving a record after editing it) and that it could be 
convenient to have "persistent" flash messages in this case. But this 
could be improved later. It could also be a separate mechanism whereby 
messages from TCEmain are stored in the session and then fed into flash 
messages.

So I would say we can go ahead with your solution, although I haven't 
time to test it now, sorry.
