Still the basic idea was to make DBAL handle the common SQL used in  
TYPO3, it was never the goal to allow for any SQL to be handled. So,  
as soon as it comes to DB-specific stuff being added, I get  
goosebumps. I'm all for the basic operators, but e.g. % seems to be  
non-standard.
