I didn't follow the whole thread, but - if relevant - can you add a note 
about this in the Pending Documentation page with usage examples, 
please? Put in under doc_core_api. There's no real section for this 
topic (i.e. JS contribs and inclusions) yet, but it's a good opportunity 
to add one.
