Hey Niels,

sounds reasonable. I'd suggest you try out the patch with your 
installation and see if it helps. Would be cool if this issue would 
solve 5 bugs ;-).

FYI: I was sure that I searched through the bug tracker with "json" and 
did not see this issue. Funny.
