That is not entirely correct. The .default is used on all other menu
types except the "sitemap": either we have a < .default or a < .1, which
is already a copy of .default. So in fact changing .default will
influence all current menu types, except "Sitemap".

Your patch affect:

"Menu of these pages"
"Menu of subpages to these pages"
"Menu of subpages to these pages (with abstract)"
"Recently updated pages"
"Related pages (based on keywords)"
"Menu of subpages to these pages + sections - liststyle"

It doesn't affect:

"Sitemap - liststyle"
"Section index (pagecontent w/Index checked - liststyle)"


Apart from that I think it is welcome to apply htmlspecialchars by
default on text-menu labels, so that we guarantee XHTML-validity on
default output (even if a page is called "Test > Test").

So +1 from me.
