I don't think so. The problems are clearly related and the solution 
found for this bug probably applies to #9148 too, but it will touch on 
different classes (i.e. those related to FE editing). Now FE editing has 
been moved to a sysext and the new FE editing is still planned for 
inclusion in 4.3. So I wouldn't spend time patching the old FE editing, 
but rather testing the new one to make sure it isn't afflicted with the 
same bug.
