investigations now.
Both VMware and Parallels offer ready made virtual appliances for Oracle:

They probably also offer appliances for other DBMS. Now it would be good 
if Xavier could maybe provide further instructions on setting up TYPO3 
on these DBMS if necessary or provide example data to ease testing his 
patches with.
