sounds good to me.
tt_news use pid_list and recursive. So recursive is one common, easy to 
remember.
Now pages sounds like what it is and all know it from tt_content, 
pidList is the internal var for processing.

We could fix such in a document and publish on 
ExtensionCoordinationTeam-suggestions for other extension (I could do 
this). If there is something like a proposed standard, i think more devs 
will use it
