+1 by reading and testing (nice doc by the way)

Notes:
* Please pay attention that you patch against the typo3-folder (your
patch should start with t3lib/... instead of your local folder
structure, so it can be applied easily by others
* IIRC there are some CGL issues like whitespaces around the "if" and
"else" statement, and: "Inline comments must precede the commented line
and be indented on the same level."

With the test extension it's really easy to test :)
