this one also is very hard on the edge of being a FYI, please turn it 
into an RFC. As Dmitry's comment shows, the change is not as trivial as 
it seems.

I also agree with Dmitry in the point that if there're two conditions in 
the where clause that it would also make sense to have both fields in 
the index.
