-1 on testing. It fixes the issue in subdomains linking to pages in 
treeroot (treelevel 0), but is breaking the links to the subsites by 
prefixing those with the domain of the treeroot.

So a menu on domain A displaying all subsites will not link to "domain 
B" for subsite1, but link to "domain A->subsite1" or even worse only to 
"domain A". As I tested the patch shorthand on a production site 
(luckily a not yet much frequented one) I didn't test anything and 
quickly reverted the patch.
