Ah, now I see. I had missed Masi's mail where he said he had committed 
to trunk. What seems to be left open is to apply it to 4.2. Benni made a 
suggestion which seemed suitable to Ingo, but it didn't go further.

I think at least the skin issue should be fixed in 4.2.
