Hey Jeff,

I tested this patch now. Thanks for the instructions and the example 
ext. I gotta tell you, there is some weird behaviour in TYPO3 without 
the patch. I added multiple suggestions and dependencies to it and it 
all gets mixed up.

Anyway, your patch is clean and simple and finally brings the 
functionality everybody expects. So +1 after reading and testing.
