I checked your patch again.

+1 after reading. I want to test this patch though, and the last hunk of 
your patch is already commited, so can you make another version of the 
patch that is done from the root of the SVN directory (right now: 
/develop/projects/wiesfurthstr/t3lib/class.t3lib_db.php) and against the 
latest 4.2 revision?

Thanks for clearing this issue, finally some good code in this part :)
