Sending reminders as replies to the original post is useful, because if 
you configure your news client so, it will show the threads with the 
latest replies at the top.

Example for Thunderbird:
  - First:
	View -> Sort by -> Group by Thread

  - And then:
	View -> Sort by -> Date

Regardless of that, sending reminders as replies to the original post is 
written in the list rules:
