Well, although removing these styles makes it look better in Safari, it 
looks quite worse in FF and IE now. Also it makes it inconsistent with 
the rest of the form elements in FF & IE. I really don't like it. And: I 
checked in Safari and it did not look so bad before the patch anyway. 
But it's a matter of taste here...

So, +1 after testing and reading for v3 from me here. Tested in FF2 and 
IE7 (a bit) and Safari.

Let's just keep the IE part in mind and let's not forget about it.
