I'm attaching a new patch here to fix the issues Ingmar mentioned with 
the color selector.  There are a couple different changes...

1. Updated the existing functionality to use Prototype and live in an 
external Javascript file.
2. The color preview is updated automatically rather than when the page 
is reloaded and the select box is updated based on values entered in the 
input box.
3. I added some additional colors to the preset list and enabled support 
for 3 digit hex codes in the input field.

I haven't tested this at all in IE yet, or as extensively in any browser 
as I'd like, but I'll go ahead and throw it out there and continue 
testing on my end. Once I get it tested more thoroughly, I'll post it as 
a new RFC.
