I'm not so sure if that is the case. Because #9596 does not load the rte 
at all (forever displays a loading sign) whereas #10024 pops up a JS 
alert window with this message "SYSTEM ERROR..." as also reported by 
Susanne in the RTE Mailing list.

I will get the latest SVN version of 4.2 to check it again and will report.
