For 4.1 I think it's the best if we simply add the @ to the function 
call. getURL will eitehr return an empty string or the formatted 
redirect message of the server.

For 4.2 I have a rewritten getURL that has error reporting to deal with 
this an other matters. Path is to be posted yet.
