I tried but can't. Here two patches against newest revision

I don't know where is the last revision for class.t3lib_iconworks.php
I hope this could be continues in

[TYPO3-core] RFC: #6259 Disabling Tabs with no fields II

and my pathes could be used as base for next revision.
