OK, but then, for backward compatibility, if the property is not set, 
the action will be to transform the tags as if it was set to 1. This is 
the reason why I had chosen a negative formulation because 'not set' and 
0 would have the same meaning.

But transformBoldAndItalicTags is fine with me. Here is the new version 
of the patch.
