XML schema uses the ADOdb datadict stuff for the actual work. From looking at 
the code it seems as if there is no special handling in the XML schema code, 
and there certainly isn't in the regular datadict code. So a default of '' is 
handed through to the database, resulting in being sees as null in Oracle.
