I had implemented this. You said I should remove it again. I think we missunderstood
each other and I removed the "internal truecolor/exteranl 8bit" completly instead
of just removing the "interal_truecolor" (or however it was called) flag from the
proposed patch.

If you make an overlay with another 8bit png 16bit images could be the results
(the colors get multiplied in the worst case) ... so you a loss of colors with
the factor 1-256
