It's a matter of style. I don't like spaces within brackets, but that's just me. But 99.9% of all code in TYPO3 doesn't use spaces, so we should stick to that practice.

PS: If've found "if(.." in t3lib_htmlmail Shouldn't tage be "if (..."?
