Hey guys,
I know I'm not part of the core team, but I do follow this list and the
developments closely. You probably already recognise this, but from an
outsiders point of view if the Beta1 is going to land, capture
"marketshare" and get an initial positive attitude from the developer
communities that currently flock to Drupal, ModX and so on, the
documentation and tutorial have to be absolutely cast-iron, bulletproof
and detailed.
Whilst I'm sure they will be fine, I guess I'm just posting this to give
people a nudge to consider pushing beyond "adequate" and into "excellent"
when it comes to the documentation available at launch. It's a pain in the
neck, naturally, but to me it seems crucial. Afterall you want the forums
(Hah, I jest...) to fill up with praise, rather than 1001 beginners unable
to get "Hello World" out the door :)
Forgive me for perhaps stating the obvious, I'll go back to lurking now.
Kind regards,
Denyer
