☠ took a while to discover some bugs which popped up while implementing the visibility support
☠ distracted by new iPad
✔ collected local changes and put them into separate commits, pushed a few of these
✔ merged local changes with master and checked out Karsten's functional test patches

➜ write functional tests for visibility support
➜ finally push visibility support for review
