[TYPO3-team-core-v5] Impediment: Broken Mac

Hi folks,
there had been signs of weird behavior previously, but yesterday my
Macbook finally surrendered (or I did). During the last weeks I frequently
had problems to launch or quit applications and only seldomly was able to
shut down my computer without pressing the power button 5 seconds.
Yesterday night I thought that it might be a good idea to start with a
clean install of Mac OS to get this solved once and for all. So I formatted
my hard disk ...
The problem now is that even after the completely fresh install of Mac OS
the same problems persist: can't shutdown, cannot start applications like
Time Machine and eventually couldn't even start Finder. I tried several
hints from different forums, including zapping the PRAM, but until now to
no avail.
Now I'm looking for a machine to work on. I do have an almost spare
MacMini, but that has 1GB Ram and 80 GB HD - not enough for my working
environment. And because all that isn't fun enough, I turns out that my
TimeMachine sparseimage is corrupted - I just cannot open it (nice that
TimeMachine never warned me that this could be the case). So I need to
restore my stuff from crashplan.com which might take 2 days despite the
fast internet connection I have (they seem to throttle download speed).
So, if you have any idea how to improve my working situation just let me
know.
Cheers,
robert
