Hi all,

Just some ideas to the whole type-cast-magic. It seems to be a lot stranger than I thought until now. But I think you should be able to validate a float. 100 is no float it's an integer. This distinction should be possible. So the float and integer validator work correctly (at least the integer validator, I'm not sure about the current state of the float validator).
If we take the WeightWatchers example. What you want to validate is not a float or an integer, it's a number. And there is a number validator for that. Or am I wrong?

Just my thoughts, feel free to correct me.

Greets Andi
