[TYPO3-bugs] Bug #633: Menu doesn't expand if ".special" is set

Hi all,

I would like to draw your attention to the following bug:

This is really a bothersome bug generating a very unexpected behavior. 
It has been hanging around for a long time, there's a tried and tested 
patch (according to comments it still seems to be valid with recent 
versions of TYPO3), could it finally be included in the next version of 
TYPO3?

Thanks in advance to any good faerie from the core team who might want 
to take care of that bug.
