For me this status means that we acknowledge the problem. It sounds 
strange that we acknowledge that we ~read~ the bug. Otherwise why we 
have so many unassigned bugs, why the are not acknowledged?

No, in my case there is no solution because bug does not happen anywhere 
except one single server. Or proposed change is good but it is banned by 
someone.

Than it is assigned. Assigned means exactly that: bug is assigned to 
someone and that's it.

In fact, most bug tracking system that I used, have yet one more status 
in the middle: developing. When a persons starts fixing it, he sets 
status to "developing". This way everyone can see that bug is being 
worked on. Some bugs are not one minute fix, so such status is really 
useful.
