Sorry for being a little slow on this one.

It is not a typo, it's another word.

"The first and fully accepted meaning of deprecate is “to express disapproval
of.” But the word has steadily encroached on the meaning of depreciate. It is
now used, almost to the exclusion of depreciate,"

I know that deprecated is more commonly used, but afaik depreciated was
deliberately chosen by kasper at some point.

Personally I don't care if it's one or the other. But it's not a typo.
