I think this is a cool feature and I'm sure that many people would actually
use it if they only could.

I think the main question will be where that money goes (all to the
Association, to the developer or to both of them, choosable, etc.) and how
it goes there.

But also we should discuss the risks of this: How can we make people trust
us that we don't stop fixing bugs just because they are not sponsored?

Is anybody willing to coordinate this "feature" implementation?

I don't think we need that. It's fine for me to do a copy&paste as soon as
the bug is solved, and hey - right now we have only 1000 bugs, not 100'000.
