i LOVE that idea! the first thing i do is to uninstall all of those help 
extensions to get rid of the help block.

as you said, this is almost intuitive as "a common" website visitor you 
are used to click on the company icon or so and go to the home page.

if you "promote" that "the google (mail/calendar/...) or facebook way" 
and show a tooltip the very first time after upgrade, then the users 
will know. :D *big smile*
