yes there is! you only 'git fetch' only once.... :->

Since all working trees use the same object database you can instantly 
update/merge/do whatever in all working directories without having to 
get the stuff again...

I would strongly suggest such a setup when you want/need mutliple 
branches that stay rather sable on a relase (master or TYPO3-XY)
