[TYPO3-v4] removing depreciated function

And to be honest - I am maintainer of several ext at forge where people 
also send some patches but I really had no time to integrate them into 
the ext. It is not always "just to apply the patch" - sometimes it needs 
hard, timeconsuming tests if it all works as expected.
