my guess would be: yes.
.git/objects
.git/packed-refs
.git/refs
(.git/rr-cache)
(FETCH_HEAD is not linked here, but maybe is a candidate as well?)
should be linked in additional checkouts/working trees to the
correspondig directory from the "master checkout/working tree". You can
create these links manually or use some tool/helper to ease the work.
