[TYPO3-v4] TYPO3 (all versions) with PHP 5.2.12 and GD Freetype version 2.3.7 + niceText

Hello folks,

it seems my webhoster made a PHP update or recompiled PHP 10 days ago. 
I'm not a specialist but in phpinfo() I found:
"Build Date May 21 2010 05:32:13"

Since last week (and maybe since May 21st) we have problems with GD and 
freetype which will not render text if we use 'niceText = 1'. Currently 
we disabled niceText so at least the text gets displayed.

Does anybody of you have similar problems? We're not sure if this 
problem is related to the PHP update, but we didn't change the TYPO3 
source nor did we change anything else on our websites, but it happens 
for all TYPO3 websites on the server using 'niceText = 1'.

In detail the images beeing rendered have the backgroundcolor of the 
font color. I tried to change several setting in the install tool but 
nothing really worked out.

Any ideas?
