Hi,

i will use this thread to post some infos in between.

The import from extensions.xml + parsing + insert in db was pumped from 
over 30 sec to

Processing time: 11.306464910507 sec
Maximum memory usage for this PHP process: 11.9 M (12438968)

The most performance boost is usage of exec_INSERTmultipleRows (90rows 
at one time) - big thx for integrating this function!
