Well, a real feature freeze would be great improvement. In 4.4 there was 
  a feature freeze, except for the introduction package and the UX 
changes (t3skin, install tool). These are a big part of what is 
immediately visible as 'new' in 4.4 and a major cause for all the last 
minute fixes.

4.4 is a real improvement. I've never seen so many positive reactions in 
various lists/groups.
There is always room for improvement, but the number of open issues 
seems to decrease (without closing them automatically after a certain 
period) while there are also new, useful features introduced.

So, keep up the good work!
