[TYPO3-mvc] Create predefined fe_groups when activating extension

Hi,

I wanted to know if it would be possible to create predefined fe_groups when activating a plugin? I am currently developing a extension where user registration is a big part of it. Now I want that when a user register to fe_users then he joins a predefined group.

To do so I need first to create those fe_groups. I am still new to the whole typo3 and extension development so unfortunately I am a bit lost.

Maybe this isn't the right approach at all?!
