[TYPO3-mvc] Fluid textarea readonly?

Dear newsgroup,

am i wrong or isn't it possible to get a readonly textarea in 
extbase/fluid 1.3?

Using something like readonly="readonly" causes an error.

There seems to be an attribute disabled="disabled" but using this leads 
to property not being persisted...

I'v also tried using the textarea as disabled="disabled" together with 
an additional f:form.hidden having the same property - in this case the 
property is beeing persisted but the linebreaks / whitespaces go 
wrong...
