[TYPO3-mvc] Extbase and setting a date property to null via forms

Hi!

I am using a from with a date object in a field.
Once the date is set, i can change it, but i cannot remove it. Setting the field to an empty string does not remove the date, but leave it as it was.

How can i change that? Who is responsible for that? It doesnt seem to be the Validator, or the AbstractDomainEntity.
