[TYPO3-mvc] problems with sys_language_uid

Any chance to get details about the language setup (multilanguage, which 
languages, issue occurs on translated record or in default language, etc)?

Just had a look a the code and the mentioned error can only occur if the 
object to update didn't have a value set for the sys_language_id before. 
And that is of course not supposed to happen as a existing record will 
always have that field set when created in BE or via Extbase. So 
question is, how was the according record created in first place?
