[TYPO3-mvc] extbase/fluid & TYPO3 4.5 LTS

This is the case. Version 1.4.0 for both extensions was shipped with 
TYPO3 4.6.0. Further development for TYPO3 4.6 will be done on the 1-4 
branch. In TYPO3 4.5 LTS, the version of these extensions is 1.3.x. This 
is how it works with the system extensions.

Using a system extension from another version of TYPO3 *may* work but at 
your own risk.

Yes.

Bugfixes are to be backported of course. New features are not authorized 
for older releases. On a case-by-case basis, perhaps some features will 
be backported to 4.5 LTS but we cannot guarantee anything and I would 
not count too much on it anyway.

If bugs are not backported to 4.5 LTS, then you should ask for it, team 
structure has evolved recently and this should better work in the 
future, I agree that bug fixes were not systematically backported to the 
branches where they occured in the first place.
