[TYPO3-mvc] Howto check if object with a specific uid is related to an object (m:n relation)?

hello everybody,

there is the object "Download" which is m:n related with the object 
"DownloadType".

in the fluid template i would like to style Downloads depending on 
DownloadTypes:

"If Download is assoziated with DownloadType with uid "1" --> add css 
class "important" to a-tag!"

QUESTION: how can i achive that?
