[TYPO3-mvc] Order by Rand

Hi everyone

I know this topic has been discussed shortly before and there is a Forge 
request:

I would like to select X random objects from a database of X thousand.

I know I have the possibility to do that in plain MySQL and PHP but by 
doing it I need to do all the relation joing by myself.

Has anyone ever implemented a solution for that case?
