Well I just keep my pledge for a reasonable native format to manage 
mapping informations. And then try to get that somehow arranged with $TCA.

Using $TCA as native format for managing the ORM is just pulling in a 
bunch of drawbacks from the very start. $TCA is a mixed concept of 
domain modelling *and* form representation for CRUD. It was lightyears 
ahaead of everything else, at the time Kasper initially published it, 
and it is still pretty cool for TYPO3-BE. :->

Alright, we are on the very right track, no disagreement here.
